چکیده

The study concerns the antifungal effect of aqueous and methanolic extracts, essential oil obtained from aerial parts Nepeta meyeri Benth. on Botrytis cinerea Pers. fungus has been isolated infected plants common grape Karaerik (Vitis vinifera L.) cultivating in vineyards Üzümlü district, Erzincan (Turkey), was cultured potato dextrose agar medium Petri dishes after identification by 18S rRNA gene-based PCR assay. concentrations extracts N. were 2%, 5% 10% (w/v) for extract (AE); 500, 1000 1500 ppm (v/v) (ME), 0.6, 0.8 1 µL (EO). After treatments, mycelial growth, spore germination, germ tube elongation determined. Sterile distilled water at same ratios used control treatment. Thirty-six different compounds identified EO GC/MS. highest activity registered meyeri. inhibition rates µL/Petri 80.72%, 18%, 38.15% germination elongation, respectively. However, AE ME showed diverse effects studied parameters B. cinerea. It is suggested that favourable concentration can contribute to prevention infection (grey mould) which causes disease vineyards.

Antifungal activity of eugenol against Botrytis cinerea

The antifungal properties of eugenol were tested against ten plant pathogenic fungal species and detailed studies were conducted regarding in vitro activity of eugenol on Botrytis cinerea. The EC50 value of eugenol on mycelial radial growth of B. cinerea was 38.6 μg/ mL; however, eugenol had no bioactivity against conidia germination. B. cinerea hyphae treated with eugenol showed strong propidi...

Effect of Polymer Micelles on Antifungal Activity of Geranylorcinol Compounds against Botrytis cinerea.

Herein, we explore the potential use of two micelle-forming block copolymers, i.e., Pluronic F-127 and poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(caprolactone), for application of fungicide agents. The polymer effect on the in vitro fungicide activity of a series of geranyl orcinol derivatives against Botrytis cinerea has been assessed. The results show that, for all test compounds, the incorporation into mic...

Antibacterial and Antifungal Activity of Rosa damascena MILL. Essential Oil, Different Extracts of Rose Petals

Rosa damascena petals were extracted by water, hexane and ethanol. The latter was further fractionated with chloroform, ethyl acetate and butanol. Rose oil and different petal extracts were evaluated against three fungi and eleven Gram-positive, Gram-negative and acid-fast bacteria. Rose oil and all extracts exerted broad spectrum antimicrobial activities against the tested organisms. The desce...
